HPV Vaccine

HPV Vaccine

The HPV vaccine is a preventive vaccine that protects against the Human Papillomavirus (HPV), a common viral infection that can lead to cervical cancer, genital warts, and other HPV-related conditions. Vaccination plays a crucial role in reducing the risk of cervical cancer and is an important step in preventive women’s healthcare.

We strongly emphasize early prevention and awareness, offering proper counselling and vaccination guidance based on age, medical history, and individual health needs.

Why is the HPV Vaccine Important?

HPV infection is one of the leading causes of cervical cancer. In many cases, the infection may not show symptoms initially, making prevention through vaccination highly valuable.

The HPV vaccine helps:

  • Prevent cervical cancer

  • Protect against genital warts

  • Reduce the risk of certain vaginal and vulvar cancers

  • Provide long-term protection against high-risk HPV strains

Who Should Take the HPV Vaccine?

The vaccine is recommended for:

  • Girls and young women (ideally between 9–14 years for best effectiveness)

  • Women up to 26 years (and in some cases up to 45 years after medical consultation)

  • Individuals who have not previously completed the vaccination schedule

Even if someone is already sexually active, vaccination can still provide protection against HPV strains not yet exposed to.

A detailed consultation helps determine eligibility and the appropriate vaccination schedule.
